Our organisation is actively looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker (DSW)/Assistant in Nursing(AIN)/Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team on a CASUAL basis. We are seeking individuals with substantial experience in assisting clients with Disabilities and Mental Health conditions, who are open to working in NEWCASTLE, HUNTER VALLEY AND LAKE MACQUARIE NSW.
The successful candidate will have the primary responsibility of providing support to clients with challenging behaviours and medication administration, ensuring that they have a safe, comfortable, and personalised environment in which to enhance their skills, abilities, and aspirations. This is a CASUAL position where a range of shifts may available across the following regions.
NEWCASTLE NSW
HUNTER VALLEY NSW
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Certificate III in Assistant in Nursing, Aged Support, Disability, Community Services
- Prior experience Disability Support services and Aged Care.
- Experience working with clients exhibiting challenging behaviours.
- Proficiency in documenting and recording client progress.
- Familiarity with the Disability Services Act, policies, procedures, and Quality and Safeguards Commission.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.
- Willingness to engage in Community Access and Supported Independent Living, including sleepovers when necessary.
- Experience and willingness to provide personal care to clients.
- Prospective candidates should possess good physical health and fitness and should wear appropriate attire for walking.

- An NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC)
- Completion of the NDIS Orientation Module
