Our client, a large Federal Government organisation, whose focus is on foreign policy and relations, international aid, consular services and trade and investment, are Seeking the experience of a Disinformation / Intelligence Analyst for a long 12+12+12 month contract, based in Barton ACT.
Duties of the Disinformation / Intelligence Analyst
- Conduct all source analysis on disinformation (as described by the client).
- Manage information (source reports) in a logical manner that allows referencing and recall when needed.
- Prepare monitoring and assessment reports that answer information requirements in accordance with reporting routine.
- Represent client at disinformation analyst exchanges and forums, as required.
- Contribute to the development of information requirements.
- Provide advice to the on proven monitoring and assessment systems and processes.
- Maintain working relationships across relevant client areas and other government agencies.
- Help build the capability of other client staff in open-source monitoring and assessment and all source analysis.
Skills and Experience Required
- Training in all source intelligence analysis.
- Minimum 5 years' experience applying intelligence processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, producing high quality intelligence product.
- The ability to adapt to dynamic requests for reports.
- A strong understanding of Measurement and Evaluation approaches.
- Experience working in the NIC or other government agencies (desired).
- TSPV security clearance (highly desired).
- Training in targeting and effects planning and execution (desired).
- Experience, formal qualifications or an academic background in demographics, sociology, cultural studies, international policy (desired).
- Mandarin language skills (desired).
