About Us:

Redland Premium Fruit is a Goulburn Valley based fruit processing and packing enterprise, and is part of the Redland business group (the Redland Group).   Redland Premium Fruit operates fruit packing facilities, cool rooms and warehouses in Mooroopna and Shepparton.

The Redland Group has a significant portfolio of farms and agriculture related enterprises across regional Australia and is currently growing citrus, apples, table grapes, stone fruit and kiwifruit in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia. Redland Operations manages the assets, operations and staff for the Redland Group.

About the Role:

The Dispatch manager oversees the fruit movements from our processing sites, including dispatch of finished product. The role will ensure that all customer orders are collated, manifested and issued to drivers after picking by the fulfilment team, on time, in full and accurately, allowing service partners to deliver on our service commitments to customers.

Primary responsibilities:

Duties of this role may include but are not limited to the following:

• Optimising dispatch operations through analysis and identification of improvement opportunities, effective delegation.
• Collaborate with Receivals, Processing and Packing teams to ensure receipt of packed goods, packaging and finished product is within specification/order, 
• Effective manage the day-to-day Dispatch team operations, incl. staffing, rostering, audit and compliance, performance management, KPI’s
• Identifying optimum staffing levels across dispatch to meet cost and service KPI’s
• Training additional employees to ensure peaks in activity can be met and service is not impacted by absence or turnover
• Monitor productivity and accuracy of all team members to ensure optimum performance is delivered daily whilst maintaining a safe, professional and respectful working environment
• Collaborate with Dispatch Quality Supervisor to ensure finished product specifications are met, and adhered to (prior to dispatch)
• Maintaining an engaged team through promotion of a positive, collaborative work environment.

Attributes and experience

Professional background, experience & qualifications

• Valid Forklift Licence
• HR Licence (advantageous)
• Proven experience in warehouse, dispatch & logistic management.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to use data, knowledge and experience to identify problems potentially impacting teams or programs and proactively develop and implement effective solutions.
• Demonstrated capability to lead, support and manage change within teams. 
• Experience in Pack Manager would be advantageous.

Skills, Knowledge & Personal Attributes

• Prior despatch and/or logistics experience 
• Strong leadership skills and ability to relate to people at all levels 
• Self driven, proactive with a can do attitude and problem solving skills
• Ability to prioritise, multi task in a fast-paced environment and a high attention to detail
• Proven ability to engage, motivate and lead teams
• Strong knowledge of warehousing processes and operations
• Supervising a team including workflow allocation and training of staff.
• Flexible and adaptable, able to adapt to continuous and rapid changes in business requirements or activity. 
• A passion for managing team dynamics with solid planning and organisational skills
• Commitment to Safety, WH&S policies and procedures
