Nursery Dispatch Manager
Biemond Nurseries is a family owned indoor plant nursery operation based in the Yarra Valley and we are looking for a Dispatch superstar to manage the dispatch and logistics demands of our growing business. We supply an extensive range of indoor plant products to customers across the southern and eastern states of Australia so quality, timing and accuracy is everything!!
The Dispatch Manager will bring the following:
- proven experience (5+ years) in overseeing a busy dispatch facility
- experience in transport scheduling and logistics
- confidence to problem solve and prioritise work tasks quickly
- exceptional people skills in leading and motivating a team from diverse cultural backgrounds
- a methodical and highly organised approach to managing process paperwork
- a keen focus on safety, organisation, and accountability for the dispatch division of the business
The Dispatch Manager is responsible for:
- Ensuring all stock is delivered in full and on time to customers (DIFOT)
- Ensuring sales orders and pick lists are actioned
- Ensuring stock picking is correct and efficient
- Ensuring stock is prepared and packed according to quality standards
- Ensuring delivery logistics plan is maintained and actioned
Other Attributes + Skills
- IT skills and confidence to use email, communication apps, basic stock tracking software (training provided)
- Forklift licence and experience.
- Truck Licence preferred (not critical)
- Physically capable, a good memory, and a genuine desire to learn and grow with the company
