Skills and Experience:
The minimum requirements for the Powdercoating Manager role are as follows:
- Ability to plan, implement and manage the flow of work throughout the workshop
- Oversee the smooth day to day running of the area
- Ability to maintain and improve the company's high service standards together with positive customer communications
- More than 2 years experience in a similar role / experience in managing teams
- Earthmoving industry knowledge - highly regarded
- Strong people management, negotiating, communication (written & verbal) and time management skills.
- Customer relationship skills, sound analytical & numeracy and must be a team player.
About the role:
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performance - ensuring processes are clearly articulated to staff, delivery of budget expenses, revenue and growth
- Productivity & efficiency - ensuring targets are met, establish the layout of the workshop to the required efficiency. Correct time-sheet recording, ensure jobs are running to schedule
- OH&S compliance - ensuring all company policies and procedures are understood and adhered to, equipment / tools are maintained to the required levels. Ensure the safety of all persons
- Quality control - maintain the area to a high standard. Accountable for training of staff and for the final quality of jobs
- Work in progress - attend meetings, ensure jobs are closed upon completion and are invoiced correctly
- Customer care - service and communication - building of relationships with customers and suppliers, including regular communication involving quotes and expected completion dates
- Training - supervise and train workshop staff to a high level of competence in all aspects of powdercoating standards, including any ongoing training required. Ensuring all company assets in your control are maintained in good condition as required within the company policies.
- Deliveries and Truck Transport - ensure deliveries are made in a timely and efficient manner and ensure reporting is completed accurately
