Job Title: Dispatch Manager - South Brisbane Depot

Responsibilities:

• Fleet Management: Oversee a fleet of 30 trucks engaged in local delivery operations, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.
• Route Optimisation: Develop and implement optimal delivery routes, considering factors such as traffic patterns, delivery windows, and fuel efficiency.
• Team Coordination: Lead and inspire a team of drivers and logistics coordinators, promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Communication: Maintain effective communication channels with team members, drivers, and other departments to facilitate smooth operations.
• Technology Utilisation: Utilize Microsoft Office and Google Sheets for efficient data management, reporting, and analysis related to logistics activities.
• Early Starts: Demonstrate flexibility with early starts to ensure timely dispatch of deliveries and address any unforeseen challenges.
• Basic Truck Knowledge: Possess a fundamental understanding of truck mechanics and specifications to facilitate effective communication with maintenance teams and drivers.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in logistics management, specifically with local delivery operations.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage a fleet and coordinate schedules.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse team members and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.

• Basic knowledge of truck specifications and maintenance.
