THE DISPATCH OPERATIVE ROLE (morning, afternoon or night shift) has responsibility for:
Tending allocated customer orders, performing dispatching tasks efficiently and working to meet individual and team targets
Palletising finished food items in preparation for delivery
Operating forklifts and other lifting equipment to pick and store stock or load finished food items to delivery trucks
Loading of delivery trucks for dispatch
Maintaining a clean and organised work space including correct storage of equipment
Keeping a people safety and food safety focus escalating any risks to the Dispatch Manager.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- 2 years experience working in warehousing or freight/transport distribution.
- Experience working in a cold environment
- Driving licence essential
- Valid LF Forklift Licence desirable
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 10kg
- Positive and self-motivated and able to follow instructions
- Ability to work in a team environment working with cross functional teams and can interact with a diverse range of people.
- Good communicator (verbal and written) to liaise with other departments
- Ability to prioritise work
- Computer literate (Excel, email, erp software)
- Developed problem resolution and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
