From our extensive Bibra Lake facility, in the Cockburn Commercial Park, the Dispatch Person will be part of the Supply Chain Team, manufacturing Barret products to dispatch to our customers around the world.
Position Overview
Pack and dispatch finished goods to meet quality objectives and sales order commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and packing of the order ready for shipping, including packing boxes and materials, to ensure safe shipment of all products.
- Liaise with Manager and accounts for clearance of orders prior to shipping.
- Generate Packing lists, DG Declarations, Security Declarations, Commercial Invoices and Dispatch Checklists which are clear and concise
- Update job folders with all the relevant documents for that job including dispatch photos
- Liaise with freight companies to ensure all orders are packed on time
- With the help of the database, scan and generate the appropriate picture labels to adhere to the correct boxes.
- Monitor and control all stock in the Dispatch area and liaise with the Purchasing Officer to replenish stock of packing material including boxes, tape, shrink wrap and stationery.
- Use of forklift to load/unload trucks and move stock around the warehouse
- Warehouse quarantine area must be locked and maintained for our accredited pre custom clearance section.
Requirements
- Forklift Ticket (Essential)
- Dangerous Good Certification (High desirable)
- Previous experience in a dispatch role
- Strong computer skills
