Position Overview
Our Service Asset and Configuration Manager is responsible for driving the Asset Management practice in Victoria and will lead the charge in transforming our asset management practices across ANZ. This means maintaining, and improving, an accurate and up-to-date inventory system for all Service Assets, ensuring effective tracking, analysis & reporting from acquisition to disposal. You will refine policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines for Asset Management, working collaboratively with business areas to embed the Asset Management practice into the Service Management practice holistically.
The role encompasses the following responsibilities:
Driving an Effective Asset Management Practice
- Review and improve existing asset management processes, policies, procedures and reports to increase the value and reduce the cost of Service Asset and Configuration Management.
- Ensure process effectiveness by implementing the key performance indicators; leveraging these to shape improvements to the process, continuously.
- Work with the Service Excellence team to transform the systems and data used.
Managing Data and Information
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of hardware, software, and other Service Assets included as part of the Customer service.
- Define and enhance the scheme for recording hardware and software-related assets in existing asset management tools, in order to provide the data required to meet our Service Quality targets.
- Establish Quality Control mechanisms to ensure required Data Quality.
- Collaborate with operations teams to determine trends in asset performance and reliability
Assurance and Governance
- Govern the Asset Lifecycle, maintain Asset Information along the journey and drive the logistics of the Disposal phase of the lifecycle, working with identified 3rd parties.
- Drive assurance to ensure Contractual Compliance and Data Quality.
Reporting
- Compliance and Performance Reports are to be produced at regular intervals
Auditing
- Carry out regular audits to reconcile physical and recorded assets, identify discrepancies and taking corrective
actions.
Mandatory Requirements
- Diploma/Tertiary qualification in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- ITIL v4 Certification or CITAM, CAMP or any relevant IAITAM certification.
- Experience in managing the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from acquisition to secure disposal.
- Technology auditing experience.
- Strong stakeholder management expertise, with an ability to drive process improvement across a diverse organisation
- Analytical thinking and the ability to analyse detailed reporting and the ability to work with large volumes of data
- Service Management experience in the interface between Asset Management and Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management and other key ITIL practises
- This role requires the successful candidate to be an Australian citizen with a current security clearance or the ability to obtain a government security clearance. Preference may be given to applicants with an active clearance. Successful applicants may be requested to apply for a clearance at a higher level.

- Demonstrated experience in mission/business critical environment
- Experience with ITSM and CMDB Tools and Systems.
- BI and Data querying skills would be beneficial
- Grounded Project Management experience
