AddressPriceline Pharmacy Riverlink had been looking to fill a vacant position for Dispensary Technician. The role of pharmacy/Dispensary Technician requires an individual to be multitasking, attentive, and diligent. It requires an individual to process the general and dose administration aid prescriptions in a timely and precise manner. The position entails a high degree of organisational skill level to undertake the task of the dispensary.
Responsibilities:
- Placing replenishment order on a daily basis, checking, and re-stocking the dispensary shelves.
- Patient prescription management, receiving, and checking prescriptions.
- Dispensing of prescriptions in an efficient and timely manner under the supervision of the pharmacist. Has a sound knowledge of Fred plus/Zed dispensing system.
- Patient counselling on new medications and also guiding patients to proper over-the-counter medication depending on their current prescription medication.
- Dispensing of prescriptions for Dose Administration Aids and packing of blister packs.
- Ensuring the blister packs are checked and collected by the patients in a timely manner.
- Assisting new locum staff around the dispensary and dispensing.
- Performing dispensary related administrative tasks.
- Has the ability to compound medicine under the supervision of the pharmacist.
Qualification:
- Certificate IV Dispensing Pharmacy or equivalent to 3 years experience.
