Supervisor Position Overview
Applewood Distillery is seeking a Part-Time Distillery Door Supervisor to contribute to the day-to-day operations and customer experience at the Applewood Distillery Bar. Reporting to the Bar Manager, the Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth venue operation, maintaining high standards of service, and assisting with menu development, venue restructuring & delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the venue, including opening and closing procedures.
- Prepare food and drink prebatches, including handling raw meat, and adhering to in-house specifications and SA Food Hygiene standards.
- Record and report daily finances and stock usage using existing templates.
- Place end-of-week orders based on established par levels and templates.
- Assist Manager with drinks menu development and venue restructuring and delivery.
- Manage and report operational challenges in the absence of the Manager.
Hours:
- Wednesday: 10:00 – 18:00 (Prep Shift, Occasional)
- Thursday: 12:00 – 18:00 (Normal Operation)
- Friday: 12:00 – 18:00 (Normal Operation)
- Saturday/Sunday: 12:00 – 18:00 (Normal Operation, Occasional Alternation)
- Minimum 18 hours, maximum 30 hours, average 20 hours
