Cellar Door Supervisor

Rymill Coonawarra is a dynamic and proud winery & vineyard located in the heart of South Australia’s world-renowned Coonawarra wine region, producing wines of outstanding quality and value.

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Cellar Door Supervisor to join our winery team. As a Cellar Door Supervisor, you will be responsible for staff scheduling, Cellar door & local sales, customer service, invoicing and associated activities and assisting with events and promotion.

• Provide professional “front of house” for customers and an excellent customer experience promoting Rymill’s premium brand image.
• Effective Cellar Door staff rostering ensures adequate staffing while working within the allocated budget.
• Answer phone calls and respond to sales/order inquiries and/or redirect the call should it be for another Rymill staff member.
• Assist the meeting of established sales targets.
• Stock control and liaison with other senior staff to ensure availability of stock for both Cellar Door and deliveries.
• In partnership with the Sales Manager, Media and Communications Manager and the General Manager assist with marketing campaigns, associated promotions and special events at Rymill including winery tours.
• Ensure that the Cellar Door environment is maintained and "fit for purpose" to welcome visitors.
• Invoicing and related financial tasks including banking, balancing and use of Shopify and related IT systems.
• Identify and develop sales opportunities in local retail - Limestone Coast.

Key Skills:

• 3 years+ experience managing a front of house, preferably in the wine industry or hospitality and experience rostering staff. 
• Strong computer skills including point of sales software, knowledge of Microsoft packages.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol.
• Positive team development and interpersonal skills to effectively lead within the team and also across other teams at Rymill.
• Capacity to manage stock.
• Knowledge and application of WHS.
• Invoicing and basic accounting.
