Longview is a stunning family owned vineyard located 45 mins from the CBD, just outside of the historic township of Macclesfield in the Adelaide Hills.
Quickly establishing itself as one of the most awarded vineyards since its 2001 inaugural vintage, Longview is an award winning wine producer and wedding venue, along with 4.5 star accommodation, a world class Day Spa and a magnificent Cellar Door.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer focused, Cellar Door Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our Cellar Door and restaurant. This role is highly diverse with our Cellar Door being the hub of all operations at Longview, including wine tastings, restaurant service, accommodation check-ins and enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Drive wine sales and meet sales targets
- Manage and champion our “Vista Wine Club” as well as developing Longview Vineyard’s database
- Supervising day-to-day operations of the Cellar Door including the running of our busy restaurant, structured wine tastings, and accommodation check-ins
- Assist with others within the Longview team, providing support with events/weddings/functions when required
- Attend to accommodation enquires/bookings and reception duties
About You
- A strong hospitality background and previous managerial experience in a similar role, ensuring exceptional customer experiences with wine and food
- Leadership skills with the ability to develop & maintain a strong working culture
- Excellent communication skills in order to collaborate with our Cellar Door team (back of house and front of house)
- The ability to show initiative and work autonomously when required
- Have sound knowledge of wine and a passion for the industry
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude
- WSET 2 or equivalent wine knowledge favourable, but not essential
