Distribution Manager

Leading our Distribution Centre of Excellence (DCoE)

As the Distribution Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering excellence across our Distribution and Warehouse operation in South Australia. Your primary objective is to ensure the seamless and efficient functioning of our distribution and warehouse processes, aligning closely with customer expectations. Additionally, you'll uphold our commitment to compliance with OH&S regulations in all distribution and warehousing activities. 

• You’re a natural leader and motivator and will use this to successfully manage the SA Team, with full responsibility for the distribution & storage network required to support the SA business. Together with your team, you’ll ensure all incoming and outgoing stock is managed correctly and all customers’ expectations are met across all parts of the business.
   
• Your success will be driven by a strong Health, Safety & Environment mindset as you’ll lead safety initiatives in the Warehouse/Distribution environment to oversee zero lost-time injuries rates (LTIFR).  You’ll also optimise distribution using the most appropriate and cost-effective fleet (owned or outsourced) to improve deliverables measured by DIFOT (delivery in full, on time) and Cost per unit delivered/returned.
   
• Other key deliverables include Inventory Management & Accuracy through the management of Cycle counting and Stocktakes, being an active participant in S&OP activities, optimising replenishment activities for the State network, and embedding best practice throughout the Warehouse & Distribution team.
   

In essence, your role involves steering, evolving, and consistently evaluating the warehouse and distribution strategy within the state. This strategy aims to deliver exceptional service and outcomes, prioritizing both internal and external stakeholders, including customers and partners.

Proficient use of Microsoft Office/ERP systems (we use Dynamics 365), OH&S knowledge, and an unrestricted driver’s licence will go a long way in this role. If you’ve also got a supply chain qualification, or some automotive industry knowledge, then you’re ahead of the pack.
