APS Adelaide Profile Services is Australia's leading Steel Processing business. Partnering with Bluescope Steel, we supply Australian made product across a variety of industries including Defence, Government Infrastructure, Mining & Resources, and Renewable Energy.
We are seeking a motivated Supply and Distribution Manager to join our company and support our growing team.
Full time position Monday to Friday with flexibility.
Responsibilities will include:
-Develop and oversee strategies, policies, and plans that are aligned with APS goals to optimize cost, quality, and delivery efficiency.
-Plan and execute strategies to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing costs.
-Forecast demand, monitor inventory levels, and implement replenishment strategies.
-Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods while establishing terms and conditions that meet APS requirements.
-Assess storage and inventory systems to meet supply needs, effectively control stock levels, and make adjustments as necessary to improve performance.
-Utilize ERP system and shipment tracking software to track all movements of supplies and finished goods, maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, purchases, and Distributions to facilitate decision-making.
-Collaborate with other departments and customers to understand their requirements for outgoing goods and transportation needs, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment.
-Supervise the recording of purchase, storage, and Distribution transactions to maintain accuracy and compliance with APS policies and procedures.
-Direct the activities of staff involved in Supply and Distribution operations, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring performance to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
-Ensure the provision of products and services to meet customer or client requirements, contributing to customer satisfaction and APS success.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum experience of 5+ years in a Supply and Distribution position
- Excellent communication skills
- Intermediate MS Office skills and advanced knowledge of ERP systems
- Physically fit, driven and passionate
- Safety focused and high attention to detail
