As the Inventory & Distribution Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing our inventory management and distribution processes. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing costs, and ensuring timely and accurate distribution of products to our customers. The successful candidate will bring strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in optimizing inventory and distribution operations.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels.
- Oversee the planning and execution of distribution activities, ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan replenishment, and prevent stockouts.
- Implement and enhance inventory control procedures to minimize errors and discrepancies.
- Analyse data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency.
- Key contact for Customer Service and Sales Executives in regards to delivery times and stock counts.
- Daily warehouse reports including lost report, stock damages of incoming stock, RCPT, Quarantine, empty pallet location report,outstanding branch transfers
- Maintaining integrity of stock with clear labelling and AX put-aways.
- Monitor and process returned goods from clients (complete RMA’s and put-away stock in AX).
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Proven minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management and distribution, with a track record of success.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Sound computer literacy
- High level attention to detail and strong problem solving ability
- Time management skills with the ability to plan effectively
- Negotiation skills
