About The Opportunity
South Western Sydney Local Health District is recruiting for a District Engineer to complement and enhance the Engineering Department.

The District Engineer manages the operational functions and overall operating budget of the Engineering, Maintenance, and Asset Management streams within SWSLHD. The role is also responsible for appropriate escalation and communication of service delivery impacts to SWSLHD executive teams.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering Management (or similar) and/or extensive experience in a senior management role.
- Demonstrates extensive experience in asset management a multi-faceted engineering health care environment.
- Demonstrates experience in the personnel and financial management of engineering, maintenance and building projects and the ability to coordinate the activities of multidisciplinary groups.
- Demonstrates program management experience, planning, liaising, implementation and resourcing.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing governance processes to identify and manage risk.
- Demonstrated experience in the management and operation of project planning and delivery (Project Management).
- Demonstrated communication and negotiating skills specifically in the areas of capital works projects, plant and machinery maintenance, building services activities and contractor management.
- Extensive experience in electrical, mechanical or building services with a tertiary qualification, trade background with minimum 10 years senior management experience and ability to co-ordinate the activities of management, professional and external service provider groups.
- Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
