Lead regional projects business to deliver best in class solutions to meet customer expectations within estimated financial performance targets. Lead the skills development, information sharing and project management discipline necessary to deliver projects in a timely manner at planned gross margins or higher. Lead regional projects business to achieve AOP targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for completing projects. Ensures delivery is on time, within scope and with zero or positive deviation.
- Maintain customer satisfaction at target levels and promptly resolve customer issues.
- Ownership for projects financial performance. Monitors financial performance on a weekly basis and reviews estimates versus actual across the project deck to continuously improve Projects operational metrics. Effectively leads the implementation of productivity enhancing process changes related to project delivery.
- Responsible for driving costs down to be competitive in the market place. Controls cost and maximize productivity through the implementation of effective methods, standard processes and engagement of Supply Chain team.
- Ensures the availability of tools, equipment, and materials required while maintaining and controlling inventory levels.
- Actively work with all project bids to ensure that all element of the bids are correct, competitive and achievable from a GM standpoint.
- Ensure that subcontracts, Risk registers, labour profiles are complete and documented. Ensure that bid qualifications cover all site and project elements. Projects sign off on all project bids is essential.
- Participates in risk review (per Honeywell policy).
- Ensure all projects follow the relevant project procedures including monthly financial calendar. Ensure efficient contract management and cost control is undertaken in conjunction with Projects Managers, Commercial Managers and Contract Administrators. Use Project Vision and ePSF tools.
- Manage the performance management process, conducting performance appraisals, and providing coaching, training, career planning, development, salary administration and reward and recognition for projects team.
- Develop strong relationships with Sales and Service Leaders so as ensure effective sales to operations handovers, optimised utilisation of resources, and maximize pull through of service and projects
WE VALUE
- 10+ experience in a team project leadership role necessary.
- Directly managed project portfolios inclusive of substantial projects with significant value.
- Thorough knowledge of leading and developing a projects field operation and financial management
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others
- The ability to obtain relevant information on operational issues from multiple sources, think broadly about those issues and recognize trends/possible cause-effect relationships.
- The ability to understand financial data at contract level and identify appropriate actions indicated by variances to ensure key metrics are achieved. Must understand P&L and POC accounting.
