About the companyOur client plays a crucial role in enhancing Melbourne's renowned lifestyle. They provide exceptional drinking water, ensuring outstanding sewerage services, integrating drainage systems seamlessly, fostering resilience to flooding, and improving waterways and land for greater community engagement.About the roleAs a Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace environment and drawing on your expertise in policy, procedures, and legislation. Your keen eye for detail will ensure that compliance reports are not just accurate but also aligned with both legislative requirements and policy obligations.Responsibilities:

• Assist in launching the new D&I framework, implementing initiatives, crafting regular reports, and providing embedding recommendations.
• Interpreting policies to ensure alignment with the Disability and Equality Acts, guaranteeing compliance across the board.
• Develop policies and procedures as required for the disability action plan.

Skills and Experience

• Diversity and inclusion experience would be highly regarded but is not essential.
• High-level interpersonal and communication skills, negotiation, facilitation, and networking skills.
• Ability to distill complex policy information clearly and concisely.
• Having proficiency in reviewing policies and procedures is fundamental to success in this role.
• Strong writing skills, including composition of external facing communications and a demonstrated track record of producing high-standard written material.
