Business Context

This role sits within SecurePay who are a part of the Australia Post Group. SecurePay is a leading and multi award winning Payment Solution Provider in Australia; delivering payment solutions to everyone, everywhere, every time. Our strategy is to provide customers with multiple ways to accept payments online regardless of location. We provide tools and service to cater for various aspects of accepting payments, with a focus on assisting businesses to grow while efficiently managing sales.  

What you’ll deliver with us 

As our Domain Architect you’ll develop architecture deliverables required by programs, projects or as part of enterprise and domain blueprinting and road mapping activities. Those architecture deliverables must be aligned with overall enterprise technology strategies, blueprints, and roadmaps, while also addressing the business and customer needs of the programs and projects.

You’ll also   

• Be passionate about transforming our organisation’s ability to deliver services through developing potential solutions based on existing Post/SecurePay systems, packages or custom developed solutions as appropriate. 
• Integration with existing Australia Post and third party systems using established integration patterns.
• Alignment to Post’s architectural standards and strategies.
• Technical evaluation of requirements and assessments for RPIs, RFPs and Proof of concepts.
• Identify a variety of solution options and drive a collaborative process to engage relevant stakeholders to analyse the relative pros and cons of each option, and eventually decide on the right option to proceed with.
• Develop the Preliminary Solution Architecture key deliverable for the Evaluation phase.
• Present the preliminary solution and any architecture decisions, risks and issues to the governance boards for endorsement.
• During the Deliver phase, the Domain Architect is expected to:

- Develop the full Domain Architecture deliverable.

- Update the internal knowledge repository showing project impact against existing systems, interfaces and architecture models.

- Present the full solution and any architecture decisions, risks and issues to the governance boards for endorsement.

- Provide technical assurance and architectural assistance to the service provider selected for the project delivery, mostly through the machinery of the Project Design Authorities.

- Review other project deliverables such as Detailed Design documents, Interface Specifications, Test Strategy, etc.

• You’ll have a clear interest and understanding of modern, contemporary technology stacks, understanding cloud, SaaS, containerisation, API’s, data and information modelling, identity, security, micro-services, event streaming etc, and as a self-starter, remains current on industry trends
• Maintain awareness of current Information Security standards and ensure all activities comply with the standards.
• Demonstrate sufficient consideration of customer needs and customer experience targets, as driven by business requirements.
