Coolibah Care has been the aged care provider of choice in the Peel region for over 50 years. We are an independent not-for-profit organisation, offering a range of services including residential care, independent living, home services, respite and day care.
As a Domestic Support Worker you will support our clients to live their best life, supporting them to live independently at home by helping them with everyday activities like (but not limited to):
- Provide personalised domestic assistance services that empower seniors to maintain their independence.
- Perform housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry and organising while respecting the client’s preferences and capabilities.
- Assist with meal preparation, taking into account individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Foster and warm and supportive relationship with clients, promoting social interaction and emotional well-being
- Monitor clients' physical and mental health, promptly reporting any changes to ensure their safety and well-being.
What about you:
- Ideally previous experience in cleaning and laundry
- You will be available for a minimum of three days Monday - Friday working between the hours of 9am - 4pm
- Passion for providing compassionate care to seniors and promoting their independence
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with client and their families
- Reliability, patience and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of seniors
- Ideally you will have previous experience of worked in Aged Care
- Full Drivers Licence and reliable registered vehicle
- Current Police Clearance (less than 6 months)
- Willingness to obtain or provide proof of up-to-date influenza and at least Covid 19 vaccinations
