Job Responsibilities: Our client is seeking a dynamic Drainage & Inspection Officer to join their team on a 2-month contract. You will be responsible for: Undertaking inspections, drainages, routine maintained inspections, proactive inspections, and issuing vehicle crossing & road opening permits, managing works as directed. Preparing reports, correspondence, and investigating any arising issues. Engaging, supervising, and auditing contractors undertaking works on behalf of the council. Authorizing and issuing road opening and vehicle crossing permits in line with Council policies and guidelines. Conducting pre & post-work service authorities inspections and, when damage occurs, assessing the extent and arranging repairs. Attending to routine customer requests and inquiries, providing timely and accurate information in line with Council policy. Interpreting, applying, and enforcing road opening and vehicle crossing policies. Assisting with the development and monitoring of performance measures for the work unit, contractors, and service authorities. Liaising with service authorities to ensure asset and infrastructure protection adheres to Council policies and procedures.
