Sacred Heart College is a Catholic, co-educational College for students in Years 7-12 located on the coast in Sorrento, Western Australia. The College has established an outstanding reputation for excellence within our Four Pillars – Spiritual, Academic, Cultural and Sport.

We are seeking an engaging, energetic and dynamic Drama/English Teacher to join our College. This is a full time, temporary position, for Semester 2 only, 2024 (start date negotiable).
About the role: Reporting to the Director of the Arts and the Head of Learning Area - English, you will be a dynamic, committed and engaging Drama/English Teacher.
Responsibilities as a Drama/English Teacher:
- The ability to teach lower school Drama to lower school years 7-10.
- The ability to teach lower school English to year 7 to 10.
- The ability to support students in various extra-curricular activities.
- To work collaboratively to build rapport with students, parents and all College employees to develop respectful, inclusive and positive working relationships.
What we are seeking:
- A dedicated and engaging Drama/English Teacher.
- The willingness and adaptability to apply new technologies and innovations to enhance student learning.
- Experience in designing and delivering differentiated units of work.
- The willingness to teach as part of The Arts and English team that goes above and beyond for each other and the students. This may involve assisting with extra-curricular activities, clubs, competitions or lunch time catch up sessions.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to a fast-paced working environment.
- An awareness and appreciation for the Catholic ethos of the College.
Desirable:
The ability to teach HASS and or Religious Education will be advantageous.
