The roleThe Drinking Water Compliance Specialist focuses on the implementation of the Drinking Water Quality Management Plan and ensures that risks related to water quality and safety are proactively identified, documented, communicated to relevant stakeholders, assessed, and mitigation measures are in place to reduce those risks to an acceptable level. What you’ll bringA relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant experience in water treatment, quality or similar field. Understanding of water treatment and quality processes with the ability to investigate issues and provide recommendations.Sound relevant technical skills, balanced with an aptitude to communicate with all levels of an organisation. An ability to work well both within a team environment and autonomously. Working knowledge of guidelines, policies and legislation affecting Drinking Water standards. All applicants need to a copy of their current resume and a statement addressing the following selection criteria:Demonstrable knowledge and implementation of the Drinking Water quality management framework.Ability to interpret and critically review technical data and prepare associated reports.Working knowledge of Risk Management Systems/Framework in relation to the provision of safe Drinking Water, environmental obligations and health and safety.Broad skills and experience in the effective use and improvement of electronic business tools and implementation of project management systems.Knowledge of water treatment principles and water sampling activities.Please note that if you do not fully address the selection criteria you may be excluded from being shortlisted for further progression in the recruitment process.Shortlisted applicants may be required to undertake a pre-employment medical and a National Police Check.
