About the role
The Drug & Alcohol clinician is part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for providing expert Drug & Alcohol clinical services in collaboration with consumers, carers and other care providers using an integrated and person-centred approach.
The purpose of the position is to provide Drug and Alcohol assessments, client focused treatment, case management and counselling for clients who present with substance use problems and/or comorbidity issues. Actively collaborating with Mental Health services in treatment planning and provision with shared care clients. Additionally, working with the Opioid Treatment Program, MERIT and Drug Court program, Substance in Use in Pregnancy and Parenting program (SUPPPs).
This position is based in Lightning Ridge.
Location is negotiable between Lightning Ridge, Coonamble and Walgett. Depending of the location of the successful applicant, Outreach to cover Lightning Ridge and surrounding areas.
