We currently have Drug and Alcohol Collector vacancies available in Kalgoorlie for qualified and unqualified collectors.
The roles require the accurate collection, labelling and processing of drug and alcohol specimens to the AS4308 standard and the ability to provide clear instructions to donors.
We are seeking applications from:
- Applicants who have a Statement of Attainment for HLTPAT005 Collection of specimens for drugs of abuse testing (or equivalent).
Or
- Applicants who are open to undertaking their AS4308 qualifications, attending paid training in Perth for the first week, with the course fees, cost of flights and accommodation covered.
The successful applicant must have:
- A Statement of Attainment for HLTPAT005 - Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse testing or a willingness to undertake training;
- Demonstrated effective communication skills with both patients and colleagues;
- A strong focus on customer service;
- A current West Australian Driver’s License and access to a vehicle;
- A willingness to undertake vaccination, including for Influenza & COVID-19;
- A current National police clearance, and
- The right to work in Australia.
The successful applicants will ideally also have:
- Previous experience as a Collector of Drug and Alcohol specimens and/or experience in the medical industry, and
- A current first aid certificate
Applicants must be based in the Kalgoorlie area; this is not a FIFO role. Applicants must also be prepared to travel to site and to Perth for training.
