The Flying Horse Hotel Warrnambool is seeking a hands on Duty Manager to join our busy hotel. We offer our guests a large family bistro space, gaming room, public bar with TAB, beer garden with container bar, and multiple function spaces. An extra Duty Manager will bring strength to our team whilst we grow.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will have a proven operational knowledge of the day to day operations of Gaming, TAB, and Food & Beverage - both Back of house & Front of House - With a minimum of 2 years management experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service focus who can deliver high customer expectations. You will also be a capable leader who knows how to get the best from our staff base and building trusted relationships and mutual respect with your teammates. About the role:
Reporting to the Venue Manager you will assist in the daily operations of the hotel including:
- Hands on management of the venue including day to day operations;
- Be willing to go the extra mile to help drive customer satisfaction and maintain high levels of customer service;
- Recruitment, training, and development of staff whilst maintaining a positive working culture within the venue;
- Assist in the management of labour costs and stock control;
- Ensuring hotel polices and systems are maintained;
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays;
Ideally you will have:
- A career minded outlook with strong leadership skills;
- Previous experience in a management or senior role, with the ability to run a team;
- Confidence in working within a fast-paced, high volume environment whilst providing excellent customer service;
- Strong food and beverage knowledge;
- RSA, Gaming licence and TAB licence are highly desirable.
