The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and motivated Duty Manager to join the experienced team at the Royal Oak. Located in the heart of the Coonawarra wine region, the Royal Oak has stood as a local icon since 1846.
The ROAK, as known by locals, offers a seasonal menu complementing an extensive wine list and offers accommodation to those exploring the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with and support of the Venue Manager, assisting with operations across the venue;
- Represent the hotel in a positive and professional manner;
- Train and motivate staff whilst driving the importance of providing exceptional customer service;
- Work across all departments including bar, bistro and gaming, fostering harmonious relationships with all employees and patrons; and
- Write daily reports to be communicated to the team.
About You
- Previously held positions of responsibility and leadership in similar environments;
- Holds valid RSA, RSG, and RP badge;
- Possess well rounded food, wine and beverage knowledge;
- Takes pride in personal presentation with exceptional customer service and communication skills;
- Experience with H&L and GFR PRO highly regarded;
- Engaging, and charismatic individual with charm and energy, proactive in self-development; and
- Availability to work over a 7-day roster, including evenings and weekends.
