SMYL Community Services, a registered charity and leading Education and training is calling for applications from suitably qualified and experienced ECEC Trainers.
The successful candidate will deliver
- Certificate II in Community Services to school aged learners and trainees.
- Certificate III and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care to trainees employed and working on the job.
The ECEC training programmes are designed to develop workplace readiness for further training and employment in the childcare sector.
Trainers are responsible for providing training, conducting assessments and supporting clients. In addition, they are responsible for assisting in the maintenance of course material to ensure students receive fair, valid, consistent and relevant service.
The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a collaborative team whose objective is to engage all trainees in learning.
The position is based in Hamilton Hill, delivering training to learners from schools across the metropolitan area and conducting workplace visits to trainees working in a registered childcare setting in the Perth Metro and Peel regions. Pool cars are available for all workplace visits.
The measure of our success is the progress we make to enable trainees to engage in learning and participate in the workplace and the community. Trainers support the social and emotional development of our trainees to support them on this journey.
The successful candidate/s will need to demonstrate:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40116, or recognised equivalent;
- Hold at least a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care;
- Current Working With Children Card;
- Current drivers licence;
- Excellent time management skills;
- Experience delivering VET training; and
- Ability to work with at-risk young people
