CHILDREN’S SERVICE ASSISTANT

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Educators to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a commitment to working with children, a clear understanding of early education philosophies, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Person Requirements (minimum):
- Experience in working in an early education and care setting is highly desirable.
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or actively working towards) is required.
- Current HLTAID012 is highly desirable.
- A current Working with Children Check is required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Clear understanding of early education philosophy, issues, and practices.
- Ability to accept responsibility and work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to relate to a wide range of children, parents, and related groups.
- Good health and ability to cope with varying demands in a child care setting.
- Willingness and ability to work with a community-based Management committee.
- Knowledge of the National Quality Standards and the National Quality Frameworks.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Development:
- Ensure the emotional well-being and safety of each child in the centre.
- Promote and supervise activities that enhance the healthy development of each child.
Parents and Families:
- Respect and be sensitive to the needs of parents and families.
- Share information concerning the children's daily events and needs while maintaining confidentiality.
Team Member:
- Work within the policies of the Centre.
- Collaborate effectively with co-workers as part of the staff team.
**Workplace Health and Safety:**
- Protect own safety and follow Workplace Health and Safety Legislation.
- Follow health and safety policies and procedures.
- Report any safety concerns to the Director.
