POSITION OVERVIEW:
In the Early Childhood Educator – Team Leader role at Minya Bunhii Childcare Centre, the incumbent assumes a vital leadership position in delivering top-tier Early Childhood education and care. Armed with a Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent qualification, the individual leads by example, guiding the team to uphold the centre’s ethos and maintain the highest standards of care. From forging meaningful connections with children and families to implementing best practices and ensuring regulatory compliance, the Team Leader plays a pivotal role in shaping the centre's educational programs and fostering a culture of excellence.
KEY DUTIES:
Leads, guides, and supports a team delivering high-quality Early Childhood education and care.
Ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, including the National Quality Standard and Code of Ethics.
Implements the centre’s philosophy and enforces policies and procedures to maintain consistency and quality.
Facilitates the adoption of contemporary, research-based practices to enhance learning outcomes.
Maintains a safe and healthy environment, prioritising children's and staff's well-being.
Provides ongoing support and assistance to colleagues and management, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Stays abreast of relevant theoretical practices and contributes to professional development initiatives.
Undertakes additional duties as directed by the Director.
REQUIREMENTS:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Minimum AQF Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
Completion of Child Protection Qualification.
Current certification in First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management Training.
Clearance of a Working with Children Check.
Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
Commitment to upholding privacy, confidentiality, and workplace health and safety standards.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
