Strawberry Fields Cottage Kanwal is looking for a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our growing team. We’re looking for a passionate childcare professional with an in-depth knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework to support our Educational Leader with planning and implementing educational experiences.
About us
We are a preschool and long daycare that cares for children from 0-5 years old. Our teaching style is based on children's interests and playful learning - so we're seeking applicants that can use their knowledge in the Early Years Learning Framework to design meaningful learning experiences for all children.
Our centre has a long-standing client base, and we have developed many loyal relationships with families and the local community over the years.
As our centre is currently going through some exciting renovations, and also welcoming a brand new management team, we’re looking to strengthen our educational programming and care across all age groups, while providing positive role modelling for trainees and Educators.
As a successful candidate for this position, you will have -
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor level qualification in Early Childhood Education
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certification
Skills:
- In-depth understanding of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Proven excellence in verbal and written communication
- Ability to show initiative with planning and implementing experiences for all children
- Experience with managing different learning requirements for children with diverse needs
Responsibilities:
- Plan and guide the delivery of high-quality learning outcomes
- Guide and support the implementation of a high-quality curriculum based on the NQS and the Early Years Learning Framework
- Ensuring educator practices are consistent with the National Law and Regulations and service policies and procedures
- Assisting our Educational Leader with the assessment of children’s learning through planning, documenting, and evaluating learning
- Work with our Educational leader to critically reflect on the curriculum, educator practices, professional relationships, interactions with children and the environment
- Managing the implementation of individual education plans or behaviour plans, based on the needs of individual children
- Working with our Educational Leader in regularly reviewing children’s progress towards the specified learning outcomes
