Early Childhood Teacher - Flinders

The Falcam family are looking for an Early Childhood Teacher or applicants diligently working towards their ACECQA approved Early Childhood Degree to join the dedicated team of Educators at Fischer Road Early Learning in Flinders. 

The Position

• This position is a full time position working Monday to Friday, in the Preschool room and has scope for the successful applicant to take on additional responsibilities at centre level.  These responsibilities would be negotiated commensurate with individual qualifications, experience and career aspirations, balanced with centre needs. 
• Alongside standard leadership roles, our ECT position benefits from the guidance and support of our Falcam Education and Care Mentor. This dedicated team member collaborates with educators to enhance overall staff satisfaction, working conditions, and childcare quality.

The Centre

• The Falcam family are based locally and have four small family owned and operated centres in the Illawarra.
• Our centre at Fischer Road Early Learning (Flinders) is newly renovated : previously only two rooms, the centre now hosts 3 rooms that focus on the delivery of dedicated baby and toddler education and care environments. The introduction of the 12 place, 0-2 room for babies is complemented by a 10 place 2-3 year old toddler room, and a larger 20 place 3-5 year old Preschool room. This centre also boasts an abundance of new resources, is totally refurbished and has a newly installed full outdoor play environment for our most adventurous and imaginative children.

The Criteria:

• A current ACECQA approved Early Childhood Teacher qualification - please note to work as an ECT under the NQF, you need to hold an approved Early Childhood teaching qualification.
• A current NSW Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid Certificate - Child Care Approved (HLTAID012 or 004)
• Current CPR
• A genuine passion for working with Children
• A sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
• Two recent work-based references
