Job Description:
As an eCommerce Assistant at BSR Group, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our online presence and helping us continue to grow in the digital landscape. This is a contract position with the potential for extension into a full-time role. You will be based in our brand new, purpose built office for four days a week, with one day per week work from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the implementation of onsite content, including homepage, landing pages and information content with a strong focus on mobile devices and general UX.
- Build and manage product categories, merchandising rules, and navigation to ensure relevant customer journeys based on seasonal trade and customer engagement.
- Work cross-functionally with the Marketing and Merchandising teams to execute campaigns in line with our core marketing calendar and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to continually optimise product, enrich content, and communicate key messages on our sites.
- Maintain onsite search settings, report on search activity, and continually work to optimise the search experience.
- Configure and test promotions in line with the planned activity.
- Support UAT for future developments and enhancements.
- Help to ensure all SKUs are set up accurately including naming convention, product attributes, pricing, images, etc by following best practice and conducting regular audits.
- Using web analytics tools (GA4 and Contentsquare) to measure the impact of initiatives, identify opportunities, and analyse purchasing behaviour and customer journeys.
- Performing competitive research and analysis
- Collaborating with Merchandising, Marketing, and external teams to support identification, scope and implementation site improvement initiatives.
About You:
- 2+ years relevant experience
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical aptitude
- Interest and experience in eCommerce and retail
- Understanding of UI and UX design principles and consumer behaviour is ideal
- Interest and/or knowledge and qualifications in appliances, tech gadgets, furniture, homewares or interiors is preferred however not mandatory
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics
- Experience with website content management systems (CMS) and A/B testing software is preferred.
