Ecommerce Content Copywriter (early career opportunity)

Our client is looking for an eCommerce Content Copywriter to join their dedicated eCommerce team based on St Kilda road.

This job will place you in a fast-paced and innovative role where your goal is to maximise conversion by maintaining a rich library of existing products, writing strong, detailed product listings, and providing ad-hoc technical support to our eCommerce Team.

Job tasks and responsibilities
Your duties will include but are not limited

• Enrich and maintain an extensive library of speciality homeware products
• Assist the eCommerce Team to audit and maintain high quality content across their multiple sites
• To write eye catching and detailed descriptions of products and other similar content on their multiple sites 
• Maintain merchandising that drives conversion and improve the customer shopping experience
• Execute new web design elements, such as banners, footers, menu layouts and embedded media
• Effectively merchandise products to maximise upsell and cross sell opportunities
• Liaise with product teams to provide accurate and detailed descriptions and product information

  
Skills and experience
To be successful you must:

• Have a passion for writing and/or desire to learn copywriting skills and a love of writing product descriptions
• Previous experience in data entry or a similar administrative role will be highly desired
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to easily adapt to changing priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Have experience with Microsoft Excel or a desire to learn
• Experience with CMS (Content Management Systems) e.g Commerce Vision, Magento, Shopify etc or a desire to learn
• Experience using MailChimp or a desire to learn
• Experience editing HTML code or a desire to learn
