About the Position

The City is offering an exciting opportunity for a proactive, adaptable and engaging professional to contribute to the economic growth and development of the City.

The Economic Development Officer is part of a dedicated team within the Economic Development Department. The role is responsible for the planning and implementation of Economic Development projects. Under the supervision of the Manager the position is required to proactively project manage key initiatives that support and grow local businesses, attracts private investment and engages the public sector to facilitate sustainable Economic Development that has a benefit within the City of Cockburn.

About You

 To be successful in this position you will require;

  1. A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Economics, Business or similar.
  2. Demonstrated experience in stakeholder (external and internal) engagement and management.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work and problem solve autonomously.
  4. Proven effective verbal and written communication skills and report writing abilities.
  5. Understanding of commercial development and business practices.

Salary: $93,707 - $100,922 per annum, depending on qualifications and Experience
