ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – FIXED TERM FULL TIME Salary: $91,115 – 96,648 per annum Plus up to 14.5% superannuation (conditions apply) Fixed Term: Approximately 11 months , FULL TIME – up to 20 December 2024 Ref No: 24-016 The City of Joondalup’s Economic Development activities play a key role in transitioning Joondalup from an economy supported by population growth to one driven by business investment, innovation and entrepreneurship. The City is seeking an Economic Development Officer to provide high-level specialist advice and implement the City’s ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT strategies and plans within the areas of digital technology, innovation and business support and capacity building. To support economic sustainability and diversification the City has a strong focus on growing the digital economy in Joondalup through industry development and business capacity building. The Economic Development Officer will lead such initiatives and play a key role in the facilitation of industry clusters and business capacity building. Applicants need to provide a covering letter addressing the following: Tertiary qualification in related discipline such as Economics, Business Administration, Urban Planning, Marketing or equivalent relevant experience. Experience in the development, administration and management of complex projects and events. Experience in managing competing stakeholder expectations and building effective relationships.
