About the Position
The Assistant Economic Development Officer will provide administrative support to the City’s Economic Development Unit (EDU) and assist with the tracking and administration of projects identified in the Economic Development Unit’s Service Unit Plan, Corporate Business Plan and initiatives within the City’s Economic Development Strategy 2022 – 2032.
In your role as the Assistant Economic Development Officer, you will support the City by:
- Provide a high standard of courteous, effective and efficient service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide administrative and project support to members of the Economic Development Unit.
- Function as a key point of contact for businesses for information, advice or assistance which originates through the City’s contact channels including email groups, website, phone or social media and engage relevant EDU staff to respond and update content as required.
- Assist the Economic Development Unit in monitoring, reporting and tracking of briefing notes, meeting minutes and projects and activity within the Economic Development Strategy, budget and business plans.
- Support and track the delivery of Economic Development sponsorships and relevant business grant programs.
