Peninsula Specialist College is a dual mode setting for students with a diagnosed intellectual disability. The school caters for students 5-18 years of age in its primary and secondary departments. We offer comprehensive curriculum programs using the Victorian Curriculum F-10 and Foundation VCAL to ensure that all students achieve personal success. Every year an individual learning plan is designed for each student providing a personalised and differentiated approach to learning.

Therapeutic interventions are the foundation of the educational programs at Peninsula Specialist College. Occupational Therapy based programs assist in the regulation of students' nervous systems, ensuring they are ready to learn. Every student has a functional communication modality ensuring their voice in learning. An embedded Physiotherapy program assists students with their strength, conditioning, and mobility.
Peninsula Specialist College is a School Wide Positive Behaviour School. Understanding student behaviour is a key to helping our students achieve the best possible outcomes at school, home and in the community. All staff participate in training which builds their capacity to prevent and respond to behaviour in a positive and consistent way across the school.

School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) is an evidence - based framework for preventing and responding to student behaviour. It aims to create a positive school climate, a culture of student competence and an open, responsive management system for all community members. It includes analysis of data in professional learning teams, implementation of evidence-based practices and organisational systems for establishing safe, purposeful and inclusive school and classroom learning environments while providing the individual behaviour and learning supports needed to achieve academic and social success for all students.

Manage the coverage for all classes and duties for teacher and ES absences.
Ensure all new casual relief staff are shown the location of the staffroom, staff bathrooms, first aid.
Provide casual relief teachers attending onsite a printed copy of their daily work schedule with class times, class numbers, break times, yard duty times/locations, lesson plans, CRT folders
Communicate the daily bulletin, staffing absences/timetable to the whole school via Sentral.
Maintain up to date information in CRT folders.
Ensure daily changes to staff and rooms are clearly communicated using school systems and processes.
Monitor agency bookings and update the school¿s record system when Anzuk make changes to bookings.
Identify any timetable problems and find appropriate solutions, liaising with the AP and the Senior and Junior department leading teachers when required.
Forward plan replacement staff for upcoming weeks and planned leave absences.
Make Anzuk CRT/CRTES bookings via the APP on the staff mobile phone.
Manage Local Payroll staff bookings via text on the staff mobile phone.
Coordinate the daily absences of permanent staff members via the staff mobile phone.
Keep accurate records of ALL staff absences and booked casual relief staff via the shared excel spread sheet on google docs, ensuring all records are kept up to date.
Prepare and analyse reports from School databases to support decision making.
Provide new local payroll staff with all the relevant information, forms and documentation required.
Provide the business manager with all completed documentation required for new local payroll staff to commence work.
Other administrative support as required by the leadership team
Provide Education Support within a classroom between 9.30am ¿ 2:50pm
Manage the coverage for all classes and duties for ES and teacher absences.
Provide Education Support in the classroom between 9.30 am and 2.50 pm.

This is a dual role Staffing and Education support.
