About the RoleAs an Education Fellow in Quantity Surveying, you'll serve as a dedicated educator, leveraging your established academic skills to enhance student learning experiences and outcomes. With the support of senior academic staff, you'll develop expertise in Quantity Surveying autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment. Your role involves teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, contributing to curriculum development, and engaging in professional development to continuously improve teaching practices and educational impact, particularly in the areas of Quantity Surveying theory, cost estimation, and technology integration.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Active contribution to teaching delivery of subjects in the construction program
  • Support the development and evaluation of curriculum and educational resources as required
  • Contribution to scholarly presentations and publications or other relevant outputs
Who We Are Looking ForYou will possess strong collaborative and individual teaching skills, effectively inspiring and supporting students while contributing positively to a team environment. Additionally, you will demonstrate excellent communication and organizational abilities, ensuring timely task completion, while upholding the University's standards of behavior and commitment to a safe, diverse, and inclusive workplace.You will also have:
  • A PhD in the relevant discipline or near completion, or a Masters with relevant experience in practice.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience within the discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver University teaching and learning materials in Quantity Surveying, cost planning and management, face to face (and online where relevant) using a range of teaching methods across various class sizes
