AGA has more than 30 years’ experience in training people and placing them into employment, with a focus on apprenticeships and traineeships. AGA partners with the MAS National consortium to deliver Apprenticeship Network Provider services in Victoria.
About the role:
We are currently seeking 2 superstar candidates who are highly passionate about working in a space with students and providing high quality care and support to both students and teachers. The ideal candidate will be capable of working in a classroom setting with vulnerable primary aged students as this school is a specialist school. The role is Monday - Friday 30 hours a week with a start time of 8:45am and a finish time of 3:30pm.

About you:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to follow instructions from teachers as well as use initiative
- Compassionate, caring and patient
- Capable of providing physical and emotional support to students
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Willing to attend RTO/TAFE training located in Deer Park during school holidays
- Valid Victorian Working with Children Check
- Able to commit to a 12 month Traineeship
- Must NOT have completed a Certificate III or Higher in Education Support
What you will do:
- Providing routine support for teachers
- Assisting with planning of student routines
- Communicating with teachers about routine matters
- Communicating with student/s to support comprehension of basic tasks and information
- Addressing immediate behavioural presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting aligned to school policy and procedures
- Provide basic support and supervision for individuals or small groups of up to four students within a classroom setting
