About The Centre
Thrive, St Marys is located in Western Sydney and is our newly acquired 58 place centre.
First opened in 2018, the centre has three rooms for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years of age and a generous outdoor play space for children to explore.
Thrive, St Marys is on a quiet street and offers free on-site parking for staff.
About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a creative Early Childhood Teacher (or diploma qualified educator) to lead our team of educators in their practice and programming.
We are looking for someone with experience in programming using the planning cycle and the ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive learning culture within the centre for children, families, and colleagues.
You will spend time floating between each room and allocated 8 hours per week to complete any training and mentoring required.
You will be joining a dedicated and supportive team where your ideas, input and voice is not only heard but welcomed and encouraged!
Your main responsibilities will be to;
- Support educators to assess each child’s learning and development in relation to the approved learning framework, other contemporary theories and the Thrive curriculum.
- Support educators to critically reflect on each child’s learning and development and on their own pedagogy as part of everyday practice,
- Reflect on educational pedagogy as part of everyday practice.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all team members.
- Maintain effective communication with parents.
- Uphold strong work values with a focus on being your best by doing your best.

To be considered, you will have;
- An Early Childhood Teaching degree (or actively working towards) or a completed Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
- NESA Teacher Accreditation (ECT only)
- A current NSW Employee Working With Children's Check
