First Connections Childcare Centre is seeking a dedicated and experienced team leader to take on our Educational Leader role at our brand-new, state-of-the-art 96-place service in Edmondson Park, Southwest Sydney.
As the Educational Leader, you will play a crucial role in leading the curriculum development and ensuring that our programs align with the highest standards set by the National Quality Standard (NQS) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Your primary responsibilities will include developing, mentoring, and guiding our staff to deliver quality programs that cater to the developmental needs of children in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive and high-quality curriculum that fosters children's holistic development in line with the principles and practices of the EYLF.
- Staff Development: Mentor and guide educators to enhance their pedagogical practices, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver programs that meet the requirements of the NQS and EYLF.
- Program Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our programs, providing feedback and support to staff to continuously improve program quality.
- Compliance and Regulation: Ensure that all programs and practices adhere to the Education and Care Services Regulations, NQS, and EYLF guidelines.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Foster a collaborative team environment where open communication, mutual respect, and shared goals are valued.
- Professional Development: Stay abreast of current trends, research, and best practices in early childhood education and share this knowledge with staff to support their ongoing professional development.
- Family and Community Engagement: Work collaboratively with families and the wider community to build strong partnerships and enhance children's learning experiences.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification recognised by ACEQA, or a Diploma in Children's Services.
- Proven experience working in a childcare setting, preferably in a leadership role.
- In-depth understanding of early childhood development principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong knowledge of Education and Care Services Regulations, NQS, and EYLF.
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- First Aid Certificate in a Childcare setting.
- Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificate.
