The Centre
The Jenny McCombe Centre was established 30 + years ago, with the Centre being synonymous with the mission and values of the Y. Nestled in the Macquarie shops precinct of ACT, surrounded by shady London Pine trees it feels like home to the team, children, and families.
Leading this petite, 63 place service is the perfect opportunity for someone to strengthen their skills and knowledge in an established team. This person is creative, progressive, and innovative. They are able to work with autonomy and will be empowered to implement their pedagogical and quality care dreams as they progress through their leadership journey.
Experience and Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education (such as a Degree or Diploma)
- Leading, motivating, and inspiring your team.
- Cultivating a community of learning guided by theoretical and philosophical knowledge.
- Assist with the management of the operation of the Early Learning Centre including staff management, mentoring, and leadership qualities.
- Demonstrated experience working in Education and Care settings.
- Extensive knowledge of the NQF, EYLF, and professional standards.
- Ability to lead a team of Educators in their pedagogical practice
- Ability to work collaboratively to get the best results from educators with a range of abilities and skills.
- Current WWVP Check and First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate
