About the role

Mater Early Learning currently has exciting and rewarding opportunities for Childcare Educators to join their team. These are permanent full-time positions based at our South Brisbane Campus.

Mater Early Learning plays an integral role in supporting the Mater’s mission through provision of high-quality education and care services to the children of Mater staff and the broader community. The centre facilitates the education and care of 250 children across 19 rooms from nursery to kindergarten.

Salary range: $27.94 - $31.74 (Children's’ Services Award Level 4) per hour, plus 11% superannuation, plus access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900, and access to paid maternity leave after 12 months of continuous employment

What you’ll be doing

The purpose of the Mater Early Leaning Educator is to provide high quality care to the children attending Mater Early Learning with a focus on continual improvement underpinned by the principles and practice of the Early Years Learning Framework and meeting the National Quality Standards. Educators are responsive to all children’s strengths, abilities and interests.

A key component of this role will be building relationships with parents and carers through continual communication and personal interactions.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess the following experience and qualifications:

• Understanding of the processes involved in planning, documenting and implementing an emergent curriculum
• Understanding of Early Years Learning Framework principles, practices and outcomes
• Understanding of the National Quality Standards
• Diploma of Childcare Services
• Positive Blue Card Notice or exemption card
• Current 1st Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis Certification
