Council will also be creating an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other full time and part time Educator Diploma vacancies across Council Childcare Centres.
Vacancies exist for:
- Diploma Qualified Educators looking for permanent full-time, part time and temporary roles (Niagara Park, Terrigal, Kariong and a Float North position). Float positions will work across Wyong, Northlakes, Kanwal and Toukley (North Float).
Key activities of this role include:
- Be a positive contributor to the team and deliver high quality education and care in accordance with National Quality Framework/CCC’s policies and procedures
- Use your knowledge and experience to develop and implement customised educational programs in line with the EYLF learning outcomes and individual needs and interests of children
- Support the team, assist with problem solving, and offer great ideas to keep our activities fresh and relevant
- Build relationships with children, families and carers to make them feel welcome and connected in our education and care community
About You:
- Previous experience working in an education and care setting
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Great interpersonal skills and a positive approach to building relationships with staff, children, parents and other stakeholders
- Ability to be flexible with working hours within core centre operating times due to legislative staffing ratios
Essential Criteria Includes
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
- Current First Aid Certificate including CPR & Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management (HLTAID012 or equivalent)
- Current Working with Children Check

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $61.5K to $73.8K per annum + 11% superannuation.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B, Tetanus (Boostrix), MMR and Varicella or demonstrate their immunity. CMV screening will be required.
