Diploma Trained Educator: (full time) Community Based Preschool

Currambena Preschool, established in 1969, is a community-Based Preschool, operating during school terms. Nestled within a small independent primary school in Lane Cove we are committed to providing an alternative to mainstream education, developing all aspects of each child. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and passionate educator to join our team on a full-time basis commencing during term 2 2024.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as a thorough understanding of the EYLF and associated legislative standards and requirements.

The successful applicant will work in a close-knit team consisting of an ECT, Cert III and 2 Diploma Trained Educators. 

We are a 25-place preschool which is rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standards. We follow the school's democratic philosophy, providing an authentic child centred, educational approach that fosters individual learning. Our alternate approach to education allows each child to be a co-constructor of the curriculum and their learning. 

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

•  Diploma of Children's Services
• Current ACECQA approved First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
•  Hold a current Working with Children Check Number.
• Experience working with children 3-6 years
•  Knowledge of the National Quality Standards
•  A positive, friendly attitude.
• Excellent programing, planning and written documentation skills.

To apply for this role, you must hold a relevant qualification in early years education, an enthusiastic and approachable character, demonstrated experience in providing high quality care and education for 3–6-year-old children and working with children with additional needs, as well as being great at documenting children’s learning.
