About Us

Our recently acquired North Rocks centre is looking for a passionate Educator with the knowledge and vision to continue our journey of being the leading Early Learning Centre in our area. North Rocks is a 24 place centre caring for children 3-6 years old.

About the Role 

We are looking for passionate Educators with the knowledge and vision to continue our journey of being the leading Early Learning Centre in our area. 

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Planning and implementing of well-structured, age-appropriate learning activities that engage and promote learning in the early childhood setting
  • Time off the floor for programming
  • Building and nurturing respectful and meaningful relationships with children and their families, educators, and management
  • Observing and documenting information on children’s learning and share this information with families 
  • Working closely with the Director, Educational Leader, Room Leader and 2IC
  • Exposure to all parts of the business such as the QIP, SIP, RAP, other compliance documents, staffing arrangements, team professional development and team culture
  • Progression opportunities within the centre or other Big Bear Academy centres 

About You 

Along with your strong work ethic, relevant experience and passion for ensuring that children’s interests come first, you'll be/have:

  • Diploma or Cert III qualified
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Childhood regulations and frameworks as well as the Assessment & Rating process 
  • An understanding of children’s development in the early years
  • Able to self-reflect on practices and develop individual and team skills 
  • Excellent teamwork - able to take initiative
  • Be innovative, creative, and motivated to work toward our common goal of creating a high-demand service with a fantastic team culture 
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate
  • Hold current Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates
  • Completed the updated Child Protection course
