EHS/OHS Representative

An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced EHS/OHS Representative to join our team reporting to the Plant Manager.

The role is responsible for the implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental programs, including regulatory compliance and the requirements of Responsible Care for Braeside Plant and provide EHS support for commercial employees and activities in ANZ.

In addition to the above, you will also be responsible to:

• Drive Corporate EHS programs implementation and monitor program effectiveness
• Collect and report periodical report data on global Environment, Occupational Health and Safety in the factory
• Make risk assessments for all activities gather with the risk assessment team, participate in risk reduction studies in risky activities/areas and follow up the actions.
• Make global incident notifications within the scope of the relevant global standards.  ensure and follow-up of occupational accident notifications locally
• Within the scope of Occupational Health and Safety regulations; follow the legal regulations related Occupational Safety and Health, learn the regulations and practices, inform the management so that the business is in compliance with them and do the necessary work meet the required conditions.
• Support the management of the industrial and domestic waste water treatment of the enterprise, make the necessary controls of the relevant facilities, and work in coordination with the Production / Technical Support.
• Create training plans related  Environment, Occupational Health and Safety in the factory,  provide training when necessary and  ensure the coordination and completion of all relevant training applications.
• Coordinating the weekly and monthly Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety audits in the factory, preparing the minutes and following the actions.
• Organize safety activities for commercial team such as customer site safety inspection and risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis, Job Safety Observations.
• Build, organize and deliver trainings, provide coaching to commercial employees

Ideally you will have the following attributes to be successful:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Safety Engineering preferred
• Certificate IV in Health and Safety
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Willingness to travel on regular basis to support ANZ region
• 3 years + experience with chemical manufacturer
• Superior judgement and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Industrial safety and occupational EHS experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements and EHS policies, procedures, and programs
