E.I. & Control Systems Lead

Your role

We are currently searching for an E, I and Control Systems Lead to join our Projects and Technology team, based in our Melbourne CBD Head Office, in a dynamic and varied role.

Reporting to our Head of Projects & Technology, this role will project manage sustenance and growth capital projects for our manufacturing facilities. You will provide specialized electrical, instrumentation and Control Systems technical advice and expertise to oour manufacturing sites and complete technical engineerin work within projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of wide range of E.I related projects within a supportive and collaborative team.

Your responsibilities

• Deliver E, I and Control System projects, including the development of E, I and Control system design deliverables for projects that may include; SLD's, Electrical Equipment datasheets and lists, Instrument datasheets and lists, Cable schedules, Loop diagrams, Control Philosophy, Functional Specifications, Panel layouts and EI and Control System Work Scopes.
• Obtain quotes for E, I and Control system goods and services from vendors and provide costs to support estimates.
• Managing construction and commissioning activities (including Factory and Site Acceptance Testing).
• Reviewing and approving E, I and Control system design deliverables produced by external contractors, construction and commissioning deliverables
• Participating in design reviews as the subject matter expert.
• Ensuring that all deliverables meet all SHE and Internal standards requirements and all applicable external standards and requirements.
• Support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of Ixom Manufacturing facilities by providing E, I and Control system technical expertise to assist with the investigation of incidents and the implementation of any actions from incidents.

Your skills & experience

• Tertiary qualification on a technical degree (preferably, Electrical Engineering) OR licensed Electrician and Certificate in Instrumentation background is required
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, OR wide experience in relevant design office
• Knowledge of project management and a general understanding of project cycle
• A strong engineering and technical background with experience in several disciplines.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking.
• Basic SAP knowledge.
• Effective planning organising and communication skills, capable of managing several projects simultaneously
• Skilled in internal customer relationships and contractors management
• Able to communicate effectively and interact with all levels of the organisation and business areas
